Learning How to Lay

He we play tickle
insomniac
until the wee hours of the night
stargazing neon constellations
tucked between arm
pinned under cover
the new uneasy feeling of security
trading bunk-beds for
the snoring howls
of his roaming voice

found victim
of my single sleep
wild
untamed

after the first year

we felt comfort in different corners
got attached to each other’s cutlets
beside
intimate under trade for held hands
and rubbing sweet faces
held in crevices
like i see in movies
uncomfortable,
lasting after sex, reality
our toes touch
a sign that our love still glows

now the third year

i lie slightly tilted
under him
evolved under his shadow

i submit
to his sloppy handling of my body
his fist slips
on my curve
sneaking peeks of beast

how cunning gentle beauty

into a slumber
i am
use to his feeling
practiced
